Meet your family and friends online
Instead of travelling to meet friends and family that live away, meet them through video calls! Share your special meals or poojas with each other virtually to make your Dussehra special. Technology has evolved, and now possesses the ability to help us connect with our loved ones, especially during this pandemic.
Always remember your mask and sanitizer
When stepping outside the house, always remember to wear a mask and carry a sanitizer. Think of your mask like your phone, carry it everywhere you go! Despite a lot of people being vaccinated, it is still important for all of us to wear masks in public places. Additionally, always remember to sanitize your hands extensively for an extra layer of protection.
Avoid eating outside
Indian festivals are often associated with flavour rich foods, and these delicacies are one of the most joyous parts of the festival. However, this time try making the delicacies at home! Instead of eating outside, being involved with your family while cooking these foods is another way to enjoy delicious food, all while bonding with your loved ones!
Wear festive clothes
Dussehra revolves around the spirit of the festival. Amidst the restrictive environment of the past year, there is one thing we can count on to always bring back the spirit to life. Clothes! Wearing the colors of the festival and dressing up for the occasion is sure to make this Dussehra more special.
Having a dussehra celebration in the current times can be challenging and new for all of us, but we must adapt to the new changes in our world while being able to keep our traditions alive. As long as we are with our loved ones and have the spirit of the festival, restrictions should not be considered as a bane to us!
